1977 X1/9 with many FAZA parts and Electromotive Tec3R.
This will be my daily driver.
It is dialed in perfectly and the custom bodywork draws comments.
The Konis, sway bars, overbored high compression
balanced Abarth cammed, 1500 with adjustable cam gear.
The interior is good, carpetiing and seats are good.
The Electromotive Tec3R runs really well and starts below zero.
I may use outputs for: cooling fan control, shift light, etc
And I may set up a push-button set for tuning from the cockpit.
And maybe a switch to toggle data-looging.
I will post here with photos as I get things done:
The Aluminum flywheel is at the balance shop now.
The 5 speed trans with the tall gears (20MPH / 1,000 RPM) is ready.
The Electromotive Tec3r is done except for a Lambda sensor. I have finished
tuning and now will install a Ford O-2 sender for daily operation.
Newly rebuilt 1500cc engine with 9.5:1 Abarth pistons
Cylinder head milled for slightly more compression (10:1)
40-80 80-40 FAZA Abarth cam with adjustable cam gear
The crank and connecting rods have been magnafluxed
FAZA headers
Abarth exhaust with twin chrome tips and O-2 sensor. FIAMM air horns.
The ECU and the wires leaves room for the stock spare tire. And the coils mount near where the distributor lived.
Tec3R, Al flywheel and custom 5-speed with the early 4-speed axles.
195/60 X 13" Sumitomo tires mounted and looking good. These don't work
in the snow.
The oil resevoir is next. I hate running out of oil pressure
on a hard right turn, don't you?
An extra quart held in reserve under pressure is good insurance.
Ground effects front spoiler
Fender flairs (see photos)
Rear spoiler -- FAZA
Konis struts front and rear
Sway bars front and rear
New instrument panel -- 0 miles on odometer -- with clear plastic face
The seats have been reupholstered
The door panels are VERY good
